                  Testing and Commissioning

                  Fleming Controls and Power Specialties perform high voltage (HV) testing on protection and controls systems and relays within HV installations and terminal and zone substations. This testing is used to confirm that primary and secondary equipment has been installed and configured correctly and functions in accordance with technical and operational specifications. Our commissioning engineers operate within a quality assured business management system and can perform the full range of engineering services in the field:

                  • Equipment specification
                  • Installation and wiring
                  • Setting calculations
                  • Device programming
                  • IEC61850 testing

                  Our engineers that product high voltage cable testing and transformer testing have extensive experience in setting and testing legacy analogue devices and Intelligent Electronic Devices (IED), and their respective sensing devices, for all voltages up to and including 500kV. We are able to derive protection settings and prepare configuration files as well as required activities to finalize site acceptance tests. We test and commission equipment from most all of the major manufacturers in the power industry.
